The outdoor rifle and pistol ranges are open 365 days a year from 9:00 am until dusk.  The indoor rimfire cartridge range is open anytime the clubhouse is open.  The indoor range can now be accessed from the outside the steps on the right side of the clubhouse by using your access card as you do at the front door.  All members must sign in and pay the appropriate fees inside the clubhouse BEFORE using any range or facility.

September 11th – Rifle Range Closed from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

October 18th, 19th, and 20th – Rifle Range Closed from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.            

 

OUTDOOR RIFLE RANGE RULES

  1. All members must register in the clubhouse be fore using the range. No shooting before 9:00 a.m. 

  2. Use of range is $1.00 for members. All guests must be accompanied by a member and pay a $2.00 range fee. (fee subject to change) 

  3. All Jr. members must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult. 

  4. Members have preference over guests when the range is crowded. 

  5. No alcoholic beverages permitted on the range at any time. 

  6. Paper targets only!! Positively no glass or plastic bottles, cans, clay targets or other trash should be used as targets. 

  7. Targets should be placed between the uprights 16 only, not on posts. Targets should NOT be placed at mid-range. Cross-firing is absolutely prohibited. 

  8. The three (3) primary rules of gun safety must be observed at all times:
    bullet

    Treat every gun as if it were loaded. 

    bullet

    Always point the muzzle in a safe direction. 

    bullet

    Be sure of your target. 

  9. Actions must be left open except when actually firing. 

  10. Be Certain, all actions are open before advancing down range. 

  11. Place RED FLAG mid-range when checking targets as a warning that range is not clear. 

  12. At all times, BE CERTAIN that the range is clear before firing. 

  13. Remove targets and clean up range when through shooting. Deposit all targets and refuse in containers provided.

 

INDOOR RANGE RULES 

  1. All members must register in the clubhouse be fore using the range.

  2. Use of the range is $ 1.00 (fee subject to change) for members. All guests must be accompanied by a member and pay a $2.00 range fee. 

  3. No alcoholic beverages permitted on the range. 

  4. All Jr. members must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult. 

  5. Please enter and leave the range by the outside door. Do not enter the clubhouse basement area. 

  6. Rimfire (short or long rifle) ammunition only. Magnum cartridges are prohibited. Only conventional firing positions may be used:
    bullet

    RIFLE - prone, sitting, kneeling, oft-hand, bench.

    bullet

    PISTOL - off-hand, bench. Quick draw, hip shooting, combat, fanning and trick shooting of any kind are forbidden.

  7. Paper targets only!! Targets must be placed within the red rectangular area of the back stop. Cross-firing is prohibited.

    Be sure of your target.

  11. Be certain range is clear before firing. Before leaving, sweep the area clean of brass, turn off all lights and notify the caretaker that you are leaving.
